About Me

Hey Folks!  Thanks for visiting my site.  My name is Wil and I love the outdoors and any kind of fun adventure.  Adventure for me can be traveling, hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, surfing etc., but it can also be a crazy project like the "Re-Newell" project, where we make the old new again.

A network engineer by trade, I also enjoy technology and I love to find ways to use it to make my time outdoors more fun, productive and safe.  As a matter of fact, the whole "Wilnet" thing started out as a joke, because every time I would set up a Wi-Fi network for one of my family or friends, I named it "Wilnet".  So when it came time to come up with a name for my YouTube channel, I figured I would combine the geekiness of that with my love of the outdoors, and Wilnet Outdoors was born.
